Little Dick.
‘Little Richard’ was barely five feet tall and occasionally found it difficult to control his class. He
generally taught Religious Knowledge. The blackboard here has clear references to the Shetland
Islands and signed AWR, the initials of his namesake ‘Big Dick’.
This photograph was the first frame on the film and spoiled by ‘fog’, hence the unorthodox cropping. Fortunately Little Dickie’s head survives though he of all people should not have suffered the loss of his legs.
