On the middle Sunday, maybe it was Easter Sunday, we all strolled into Hay-on-Wye along country lanes and paths.
On the right is John Attree in Hay-on-Wye a couple of miles from Tregoyd enjoying his Sunday
newspaper after our walk into town on a sunny spring morning.
While John relaxes in the spring sunshine, boys have other ways of relaxing. David Brimelow and
Geoff Cook risk life and limb on a rotting tree. Between them, out of uniform, is a young lad. Was
he a local or was he perhaps John’s son?
