Ian MacRae's Prefects badge from 1958. Ian says that “the badges were made by Phillips of Aldershot; Jewellers and Clockmakers long since gone. The original owners were Russian Poles who arrived in Britain during the first half of the 19th century. They had originally set up as Pawnbrokers but as the military expanded in Aldershot they became a major supplier to the Army particularly for sporting trophies and medals.” At some time during the early 1960s the badge design was changed to one that could have come from any school. One of a number of economies from that era which made the school less distinctive.

The cap belongs to Mike Beasley (F.G.S. 1956 -1958). Mike says the cap is in good condition because he wore it as little as possible.
